Just last month, the Ba Na Hills Golf club received the prestigious World’s Best New Golf Course award during the World Golf Awards Ceremony held on November 12 at the Conrad Algarve Hotel in Portugal.
The Ba Na Hills Golf Club was designed by the famous golf player Luke Donald. It was invested by Sun Group and is managed by IMG.
Speaking at the event, the vice president of IMG Golf Course Services, Paul Burley who is responsible for the global management of IMG’s Golf Course Design had said that the firm was honored to have won the award. His words,
“IMG is honored that a course we designed with Luke Donald, and fully manage has won this prestigious award,”
“It brings to life the vision we duly shared with the club’s owner, Sun Group, to create one of the best golf courses and golf experiences in the world,” he said.
An online survey, which was carried out between April and October this year, which drew more than 1.1 million votes from 216 countries, was the criteria for selecting the winner of the award.
“It’s great news for golf in Vietnam that Ba Na Hills Golf Club has won this coveted award,” said Luke Donald.
In addition, Donald also added that the project has made Ba Na Hills golf club become one of the best new golf destination in Asia, as the design has been cleverly set to make proper use of the advantages the terrain offers, while still conserving the poetic scenery of the place.
The CEO of the golf course, Jack Hedges also noted that the golf course was an amazing one, with a team committed to ensuring that they provide the highest levels of excellent service to their guests.
