Due to the storm that erupted suddenly in the midst of the Malaysian Open, the world number 3 Luke Donald could not make the cut as the event had to be reduced to 54 holes. After finishing at one-over-par 73 he felt equally disappointed as his fans did. But this is not going to bother him for the Masters that starts in Augusta on April 11 because this is one big event he is looking up to and would go to any length to get it right. Luckily, he has a couple of weeks in his hand when he can practice as much s he can and get prepared for the best.
At the Malaysian Open, in Kuala Lumpur although Luke Donald got a chance in the second round after he opened his round with a two-over 74 but missed the cut after ding a double bogey seven on the par-five 10th. He is considered to be one of the most dependable putters when it comes to world golf and he too felt the need because he required 34 putts in the second round of the Malaysian Open. He had been just two shots away from the lead with 14 holes needed from the third round. He speculated that the difference in the greens with which he is not acquainted is the reason behind his performing poorly. He analyzed that they were a little slower and he could not adapt to them. He also blamed that the courses were too narrow.
Lately, things are not going right for the Englishman golfer Luke Donald. He could not practise much after coming back from Tampa Bay Championship in Florida. He first won as a professional at the 2008 USPGA Championship at Oakland Hills.
